Sticking their head in the ground and going "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALA" about any other game is about what I expect from someone dedicated enough to o5e to be a mod for a board, sadly.

I mean I've been dedicated enough to run a D&D news site and forum for 22 years.

Sounds like the mod crossed the reddit moddiquette in what looks like two or three ways to dismiss the OGL like that. Removal based on opinion, taking on moderation roles in a subreddit the mod can't handle plus banning users from subreddits they have not broken rules in.

I hardly ever visit /r/dndnext these days mostly due to the endless negativity and thinly-veiled "I was totally right in kicking this guy? Right? RIGHT???" posts dominating everything else, but it's kind of silly that they would go to such lengths. I think asking the mod team as a whole for bigger accountability on this would be a better idea, and if they stick to their awkward stance, at least that makes the situation clearer.

Eh, it doesn't matter any. It was just that one of our designers posted a link to our encounter building guidelines as part of a conversation they were having, and this happened. We thought it was kinda funny. I don't use Reddit myself (got enough accounts to manage!)

I meant for something o5e related specifically, because it has managed to convince a large swath of newcomers that it's the only game that matters and everything should just be o5e forever no don't look at that Star Wars system just run Star Wars in o5e etc etc
