Here's the errata page: Book Updates | Sage Advice | Dungeons & Dragons

If you notice, there isn't ANY errata for Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes at all. Saying that the lore has been highly errata'd and scrubbed just isn't true.

As for Volo's Tome of Foe's, there's one half page of errata to ~100 pages of lore, so about 0.5%. And then the standard changes that they did to each PC race stat block removing alignment and set ability modifiers, but not lore.

I would have to say this is incorrect. Touching none of the lore in one book, and half a percent of the lore from the other does not count as "aggressive errata" nor "scrubbing as much of it as they could from the Multiverse". Again, this is a verifiable fact and I've provided the links you can check yourself.
Ah, I thought thst they had cut the Giant roleplaying section like they had the Beholder or Gnoll.

However, that is still a discontinued book, and doesn't necessarily bear on what they may do with future books. I wouldnbe predicting a Fizban's Gisnt book, wxcepr...well, they just put stuff out for one. 4 Primordial linked Subclasses and a load of Primordial elemental Feats. Of it walks like a 4E Primordial, and quacks like a 4E Primordial, it just might be...4E Primordials getting a book, covering Giants and Giant adjacent things.

Regarding VGTM's and MTOF's status as "Legacy Content," that has a very specific meaning:

The introduction of Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse to the Dungeons & Dragons game has revised older content. Going forward, any content that does not reflect the latest rules and lore will be categorized as Legacy Content.

So they've pretty clearly given themselves space to replace anything in either of the older books, to include the giant lore.

About Vecna I guess it will be a module. And I am going to tell you other secret. Vecna is catching all the possible members of the cult of Tharizdun (the evil elemental eye) in the multiverse and sending them to a "safe place" where they can't cause more troubles to the rest of world. Really they are sent to the demiplane of the dread to cause troubles to the Dark Powers, as part of a plan of revenge against these.

The sourcebook aboug giangts vs dinosaurs will have no link to Vecna. Maybe it is a new line, as Stryxhaven or Witchlight (this is not yet an official setting) or a spin-off/reboot of Jackandor. I don't remember too many giants in Hollow World, from Mystara setting.

I guess Hasbro wants something to sell different type of products, as toys, action figures, miniatures, funko figures and videogames. We can't know about their strategy about animated or action-live productions for streaming services. Now it is not the best time for Disney+ or Netflix.

facepalm It's not discontinued. Being pulled from D&D Beyond does not equal discontinued. The primary reason for it (and Mordenkainen's) being pulled there is clearly that there would be two conflicting rulesets for monsters, and they didn't want to confuse new buyers by having both available. It's also why all the all statblocks which I own on D&D Beyond from Volo's/Mordenkainen's are now tagged as "legacy."

Until the print run is halted, they are very much "continued."

Color me skeptical, but the evidence on hand is new Giant related PC options in the same vein as Fizban's, from the author of Fizban's, thst seem to be importing 4E Primordial lore into 5E. If it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck...

Could be a platypus.

In more serious terms, you're creating a pattern out of one book. For me, importing Dawn War/Primordial lore (which is essentially the First World), while we know new settings are being developed, with one of the subclasses explicitly being "Primeval" themed, seems to be pretty distinctly pointing to a First World setting book. A world dominated by dragons and giants while the little mortals try to survive.
