I'm not sure what you mean. I was pushing back against the idea that the data was gone, not suggesting we shouldn't be sharing it or archiving it now.
I'm confused too.

1. Darjr said he wants the data preserved, so for historical purposes it needs to get captured.
2. You said that's strange, because you feel like the data still exists, even if it's not publicly available.
3. I asked what's the use of the data to us or historians later if it's not publicly available (just retained internally by Amazon).

Maybe I'm making a leap by suggesting that Amazon having it privately archived doesn't guarantee access to us or a historian later, but I don't think much of one.

I understood @darjr to be saying that data was GONE because it was "not preserved" and was just saying that I doubt that is the case. There is no way Amazon and WotC don't have that data.

I believe he means it is not available to public, unless someone took a screen cap. We actually do have some screen caps from previous discussions like this on these forums.

It’s gone for us. I agree that WotC and Amazon most certainly retain it. However other than the occasional way back machine snap shot it’s gone from our view.

Not preserved on the product page.

I misunderstood his intent. No biggie.

Does anyone remember how previous adventures have been sales-ranked? My gut feeling is that RadCit being ranked 10th in "Dungeons & Dragons books" on the day of release isn't indicative of a hit product, but for all I know this could be where adventures belong now that there are a bunch of good splatbooks to compete with in sales.
My memory is that adventures peak in the upper single digits within the category.

Most people don't need adventures

I crit!
Dungeon of the mad mage is in the 6000. Still pretty good for a book.
