Pathfinder 2E Humble RPG Bundle: Pathfinder Second Edition Strength of Thousands by Paizo

I don't want to continue the offtopic chain too much more, as it feels too many conversations in this part of the forum devolve into this comparison or discourse about PF2e success (in comparison to the PF2e subreddit, Paizo forums, and other general RPG forums), but it does sadden me how often it appears people want products to fail because they prefer x over y, and often lie or make up naughty word to 'prove' something.

Unless the creators involved are actively actively awful, I want different products to succeed and to give competition. That way there can at-least be some improvement, especially in things I am not a huge fan of.

We should unite over shared stories and love of different games. Not be divided and trying to make things out to be a 'false choice' of only liking one or the other.

This actually works great for me. When I purchase their pdf bundles, I can get the full-price discount when I buy it on Fantasy Grounds. Its even better when it goes on sale!

So last time, I got the Starfinder bundle, which included the entire adventure path for Attck of the Swarm. I was able to get each volume on Fantasy Grounds for $7 each! Plus many of the flip mats for $5 each! And when the books go on sale, I get those for $30 or less.

So this may be what finally gets me into PF2.

It makes sense. Incentivized purchase. Also, highest level was a pretty good buy-in, even if you had core or such already.

Yeah, but even the added cost of the largest bundle is cheaper than getting an individual PDF from their site. So it's a good enough deal for me.

I got the just under top tier bundle here. I already had all the core 2e book stuff from the last bundle they offered and part 6 of 6 in the AP was just not enough to push me to that last bit. I am quite happy to have Mwangi and parts 1-5. I have not hit a part 6 of DMing an AP yet. If I end up DMing this and I get through 5 and want to keep going I will pick up part 6 then.

That seems entirely sensible. However, if I were buying an AP I'd have to buy all 6 parts immediately even if I know I'll never make it through the whole thing. It is some kind of irrational consumerist compulsion.

As a result, I have stopped buying RPG products altogether for the past year or more. I realise I don't need to store anymore big books in my apartment. I also don't need any more PDFs sitting in folders, untouched.

Reading up on the AP it seemed like the plot culminated in defeating the BBEG in 5 anyway with 6 being dealing with the surprising results of epic stuff the villain had set in motion.

The urge to get the whole six parts at once for completeness was fairly strong, but looking it over part 6 was just not something I wanted to spend an extra $10 on at this time.

The Mwangi Expanse book is an interesting setting I am interested in that seems well regarded and was the big draw of this offer for me.
