The snot bubble or chrysalis often means a physical change. I like Abbi in her current physical form. Recast? Time Lord regeneration?

My first thought was also cast change but, like you, I like the actress playing Abbi.

But maybe her pheremones are evolving to be include contact gel/toxins - she could be going full ‘Poison Ivy’ powers maybe?

Well insects and pheromones kinda go hand in hand. I like the butterfly angle. Make her look like a faerie. Or they go full on Cronenberg body horror.

If they give her wings, she'll have to be able to hide. Any other physical changes would have to be hidden also. She doesn't need any changes, except maybe an eyebrow pluck. Eugene Levy and Lilly Collins are even telling her to dial it back.
