Well, that looks pretty fantastic. The quantum realm doesn't have quite the same visual unreality and fluidity it did in the last movie, but then again that'd be really hard on the eyes for a whole movie.

I think you are correct that it was done to facilitate setting most of the film in the Quantum Realm, but I can explain it away as they get to the Quantum Realm in a different way (the portal from Cassie's device as opposed to Pym particles). Maybe they are better attuned or adapted to the realm with this method and it reflects in the visuals.

Or it could just be different regions within the Quantum Realm.

And by the way, the Microverse is a much cooler name and they should have kept it. I hope it gets brought up in the movie.

I think our Hasbroverlords have the rights to that name because it first appeared in Micronauts.

True. It probably will not be raised in the film, though.

I agree that Microverse is a much cooler name, but it is tied to the Micronauts toy line that Marvel did a series for back in the 1980s, so I don't think they have the rights to use it. The "quantum" term gives the filmmakers a lot more flexibility story-wise, though. Also, Scott's line "Do you guys just put the word "micro" in front of everything?" would not be as funny (or it would be funny in a different way... ;) ).
