I feel as though Necco Wafers are among the strongest contenders for this list.

I actually liked the wax candies as a kid (don't think you were meant to each the bottles just chew on them)
Sounds like the Jones soda thanksgiving dinner drinks…My wife is actually a huge fan of candy corn and tootsie rolls. I, myself, like banana laffy taffy. We both like Dum Dums, Milk Duds, etc. The only truly bad Halloween candy I can recall from recent times is Brach's Turkey Dinner Candy Corn. The Green Beans candy was good. The Roasted Turkey, Sweet Potato Pie, Cranberry Sauce, and Ginger Glazed Carrot were weird but not horrifying. The Stuffing was atrocious, and rivals the worst candy corn I've ever eaten.
I was probably the same flavor as Bertie Botts' Magic Beans Earwax flavor...Sounds like the Jones soda thanksgiving dinner drinks…

I know it's been asked, but why no Circus Peanuts on the list?!? They should be a major contender for worst of the worst.
Nope, the Circus Peanuts are these things:Now I'm thinking of boiled peanuts (which are a thing down here... and are certainly more disgusting than pineapple on pizza or even ketchup on hot dogs) and am greatful I've never heard of anyone giving them out to trick-or-treaters.
so jealousI've always known I was one of the 'weird kids' growing up. Even after 40+ years, I'm still learning new reasons why.
I loved getting apples on Halloween. (I grew up in a rural area with lots of orchards, which meant we got the good stuff. None of that insipid grocery store mass-farmed Red Delicious garbage, hell no. I'm talking Braeburns. Winesaps. MacLemores. Apples that were picked yesterday morning and tasted like honey and cider and joy.)
