Dragonlance Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen shows up in the wild!

I love it!

Seriously, I’m so excited for this book. And the gnomish devices especially look like so much fun.
So, they straight up gave us Parachutes, and flipping ye-old portable(but backpack sized) Radio/Telephone receivers.

That's actually pretty kickass really.

LOL 1 page each for "Life in Anaslon" and "The Kalaman Region".

I was expecting setting-lite but that's pretty next-level!

Doesn't look terrible as an adventure though.

1.) The spell list is 95% different from the UA. Only two spells (both in crescent) are the same. They lost mass CLW, sanctuary, moonbeam, dissonant whispers, and fairie fire among others.
2.) Moon fire is unchanged.
3.) You get all 15 spells, making the phase redundant except for the first level bonus cast
4.) You only get a free cast of the first level spell of the phase you're in
5.) The Lunar boons are different than the UA, and it doesn't align with the UA MoHS.
6.) Waxing and Waning is unchanged, except to clarify that you get the bonus 1st level casts as well
7.) The 14th level Full moon changed from bonus to saves to bonus to Investigation and Perception checks
8.) The 18th level crescent moon lets you bring a buddy when you teleport.

Noice.

Humanoid, not fey. Interesting they dropped the ability to "pull stuff out of your pockets/thin air". I'm actually glad they did - at least, it being magical in nature. Maybe it became a feat?
Or, you could just role play it?

Personally, if I was playing a kender, I would write every small inconsequential object the DM mentions onto my equipment list, then pull it out later.

Dragonlance is traditionally a setting described by its stories.
LOL that's easily the most intentionally disingenuous use of the word "traditionally" I've ever seen in my entire life.

I mean by that logic, D&D is "traditionally" printed on pamphlets in a boxed set and best described with the word "amateurish" lol.

You could have just used the word "originally" and not been disingenuous lol.
It's more than the original Dragonlance adventures had.
Because it was establishing the setting as it went along - which is okay if old-fashioned for a new setting, but it's a bit weird here.
