This is true, but it also true that because WotC created the DMsGuild KB is able to share his vision of Eberron with fans.
WotC can have credit for creating DMsGuild as an alternative to actually supporting 5E and its settings when they make an effort to curate it.

what? they get credit for creating it because.... they created it. When they make an effort to curate it they will receive credit for curating it. Isn't that how receiving credit for doing something works?

Exploring Eberron ALSO has playabe 5E Gnolls. I mean, so does Midgard 5E as well. And I like the Necropolis Gnoll sub race of it as well.

If you want to be pedantic, sure. But my point was that they created a venue for people to support their products, taking a huge chunk of the proceeds and making those things exclusive to the platform, all as a replacement for items like Dragon and Dungeon magazine, and then did essentially nothing to ensure the quality of those products or even make them accessible. So, yes, they get credit for creating DmsGuild but they don't get credit for anything anyone puts up there.

For you maybe. I give them credit for creating it. That is not something they had to do, and to me, and I think many others, it has been a great boon.

PS - they made an attempt to curate it with the adept program, but cancelled it for some reason.

I wonder if a partnership Hasbro-Heroforger would allow this software to create "virtual miniatures" for D&D-One, and also the pack "Dark-Sun" to sell physical miniatures with that "Hyrborean-punk" look.

They also at least tried to highlight stuff in D+ for a while. It's weird to think that even low effort work like that wasn't worth it to them.

Why couldn't they do what they've done before with FR, and just set an adventure in Eberron with notes for playing it in other worlds?
I think it's maybe to do with the fact that they did an Eberron book, and it sold moderately well. For a while, they were only dipping their toes into the waters for each setting, with only the Forgotten Realms (which sells books, too, keep in mind) being the favored child. Van Richten's was a second toe, but that could be sold as a monster book, which are products many DMs will buy anyway, even if they're not using Ravenloft. It's up to Keith Baker and the others who publish Eberron stuff on the DM's Guild now, to do more.
