It also depends on distributor. And country for that matter. I am Canadian, so it's possible that less made it across the border (though that happens less often than everyone thinks - Canada is basically (usually) considered a small state when it comes to these things, and gets stuff at the same time as the US, unlike Europe and Australia (for example).

Ah, didn't remember that you were Canadian. In that case, I can't really say then. There should be at least a FEW copies in the wild in the U.S., but I have no idea on outside the United States. Wish I could help you more (besides shipping you my personal copies which I'm not going to do...sorry...to selfish on my part).

I have the thought that the actual board games probably shipped on the 6th (as opposed to being shipped before than so they could be sold on the 6th) would be my guess. If they DID ship it internationally, it could take longer. I don't know how long it takes to get over the border, especially with someplace as close as Canada (though if they get it directly from the ships rather than WotC, it probably would take quicker, but unsure if that was even an option in this case).

Ah, I MADE A BIG MISTAKE.

As I said, I had just opened the box to take a look at what was sent to me. I thought it was individual board games. I just took a closer look.

They sent me the Deluxe version as well, so NO, it IS NOT the individual board game.

This means I have SIX copies of the book. I don't have that many players in my DL group.

So, it could be that it is as @FitzTheRuke said, only the Deluxe version is out and available.

If WotC thinks preorders coming thirty days after release works, good luck to them in the future. This is as disappointed in them I've been in a long time. Completely clueless on this issue, as far as customer service replies go so far.

As some of you know, I own a comic and game store (classing brick-and-mortar, don't ship orders). The reason I've chimed in here is to mention that, while we have the hardcovers and the deluxe versions of the board game (board game and book bundled together) we DON'T have any copies of the board game by itself, and we're being told that it's not out by itself until February. This is something that I did not know until today.

So any of you waiting on the game, but not the "deluxe" bundle, you may wait awhile. Unless I am being misinformed. (This is unrelated to WotC, who ought to have sent your bundles out with some time for them to actually arrive...)

My local FLGS was advertising last week that they'd have the board game . . . . and did not have it in stock on release day. They had the books, and the deluxe edition box, but not the stand-alone board game.

Distribution problems happen, but . . . WotC not communicating this with retailers and fans isn't a good thing.
