One tiny question about the Mind's Eye archetype (sample page 30)... It states you get a reservoir of 1d6 dice. I imagine 1d6 is the size of the die, not of the reservoir. Which leaves the question: how many are in my reservoir?

All this looks amazing by the way!

You gain a reservoir of 1 d6 Psi Dice. And an additional 1 at 5, 10, and 15. You just get the one, then you get additional d6 later on, up to a total of 4d6.

Ah... The sneaky space... Must be my conditioning, it does make way more sense that it would be 1 d6 instead of 1d6 🙃
Thanks!

It's not your fault. There's no space in the document. It's a genuine error on my part that I've gotta fix quicklike. And the other archetypes specify that you gain "a 1d6 psi dice" for clarity. I just missed the Mind's Eye on my second pass.

Though if you grab one of the Psionic Heritage Traits (like Wild Talent for humans) you can gain additional Psi Dice that way, as well as access to a power you can spend your Mind's Eye psi-dice to manifest because psi-dice are entirely interchangeable.

Whether you're an Adept, an Esper, or just Psionically Gifted.

But. Only psionically gifted characters and Espers ever increase the -size- of their Psi Dice. So it's possible to wind up with differently sized psi dice in your reservoir. Say you're a multiclass Esper/Adept with Mind's Eye, as example. 10 and 10. You'd have 3d6 from Adept, 5d10 from Esper, and if you were a Wild Talent, without the Wild Paragon trait, you'd gain 1d4.

You could use your D10s to improve your Combat Maneuvers, the d6s to use your Wild Talent Telekinesis or Telepathy, and the d4 to augment an Esper Power. They all improve things to a similar degree. It's just a question of how quickly you lose a given die.

I am a JANGLE of Nerves. We're just about 5 hours from launch, here, and I'm having wonderful hopes and fears of success and fears of failure.

Failure for obvious reasons. Success, because if I succeed then I no longer have an excuse for not putting my work out there more. I'll have put together a book that succeeded and should make more to succeed more. Various back-burnered projects and things I've discarded over the years suddenly will represent potential successes that I gave up on, or set aside, and wasted so much time on.

And that's scary in its own way, you know? Plus I'll have to seriously get to work on putting out entirely new stuff and slacking off won't have any excuse for being lazy.

Damned if I do, damned if I don't. Possibly in the best possible way.

A faint damning, one might say.

Faint damning = “darning” = mending :)

May your project help stitch up your insecurities and contribute to the warmth of your toes!

You're doing it. You're posting a product out there and taking a wonderful risk as a creator. There's no way you can fail - the only failure would be to do nothing.
