D&D Beyond Twitter Account says OGL will be addressed soon

You know I thought up until yesterday that's how all these things work with WOTC. Once I read the OGL leak document, and realized it was not written by professional attorneys with experience with this sort of thing, it suddenly dawned on me we may all be wrong about the level of screening going on at WOTC. It might in fact be a guy making $60K a year writing the PR release on this. I don't think any experienced attorneys are much on this sort of thing. I don't think it's being looked at by high level executives at all in fact - I think they left this entire thing up to lower level people not realizing the PR ramifications. I am still unsure if the higher ups realize the PR nightmare they stepped in, until Hasbro stock starts to get hit. WE all think this is huge, but they may view this whole topic as a tiny thing not worth their attention yet.
Just confirming, you are talking about the hard legalize document and not the one that includes “plain English” to help people understand it. I ask because the links I’ve seen here generally point to the latter, so it’s easy for people to assume that is the actual liscense document

I still have not seen the "hard legalize document" and some here keep telling me the "plain English" document contains all the text of he "hard legalize document."

As far as I know, there's just the one document. It contains legalese with comments interspersed. (In its original form, I'm sure they have some nice formatting to make it easier to distinguish legalese from commentary, but the leaked version is just a text file.)

They're the same document, for serious.

The legalese is interspersed with clearly marketed comments, which are ABSOLUTELY NOT "plain English", by the way, but rather cringe-y "How do you do, fellow kids?" bollocks.

You could just remove all the comments and stare at the legalese by itself if you wanted.

Yup. It's clearly from the wording of the intro that this was the case.

Honestly, the longer there's no official response on this from WotC, the more hopeful I'll get.

If there'd been a firm and (ahem) irrevocable decision to damn the torpedoes and go ahead with 1.1, then there's little to be done. All you have to do is draft a patronising press release full of half-truths, release it, then start tweeting about the movie and Golden Vault etc as if nothing had ever happened and never mention the issue publicly again.

If you're legit looking at a policy change, then that takes longer because you have to decide what that policy change is going to be, and the big backers of the old policy in the boardroom have to be talked around or outvoted or generally have their egos massaged into accepting a course correction.

And the 13th of Jan is getting real close now,
