We had transparency with Ray Winniger, but he's gone and he seems ike the only one who cared about communicating with the community.
Yeah, seems all the 'integrity' Wizards had was lip service.
Odd.

Just confirming, you are talking about the hard legalize document and not the one that includes “plain English” to help people understand it. I ask because the links I’ve seen here generally point to the latter, so it’s easy for people to assume that is the actual liscense documentYou know I thought up until yesterday that's how all these things work with WOTC. Once I read the OGL leak document, and realized it was not written by professional attorneys with experience with this sort of thing, it suddenly dawned on me we may all be wrong about the level of screening going on at WOTC. It might in fact be a guy making $60K a year writing the PR release on this. I don't think any experienced attorneys are much on this sort of thing. I don't think it's being looked at by high level executives at all in fact - I think they left this entire thing up to lower level people not realizing the PR ramifications. I am still unsure if the higher ups realize the PR nightmare they stepped in, until Hasbro stock starts to get hit. WE all think this is huge, but they may view this whole topic as a tiny thing not worth their attention yet.
I still have not seen the "hard legalize document" and some here keep telling me the "plain English" document contains all the text of he "hard legalize document."Just confirming, you are talking about the hard legalize document and not the one that includes “plain English” to help people understand it. As far as I know, there's just the one document. It contains legalese with comments interspersed. (In its original form, I'm sure they have some nice formatting to make it easier to distinguish legalese from commentary, but the leaked version is just a text file.)I still have not seen the "hard legalize document" and some here keep telling me the "plain English" document contains all the text of he "hard legalize document."
They're the same document, for serious.I still have not seen the "hard legalize document" and some here keep telling me the "plain English" document contains all the text of he "hard legalize document."

if they do I don't know how that helps at all... I guess it stops the lawyers from getting in on this.Best thing WotC can do is walk it back 100%. Will they? I dunno, my non-corporate, little brain sees walking it back their only option.
