There's actually a creature in the second book of the elminester saga that is called a mage killer it's not really explained either as if it was a callout from the rulebook which is pretty confusing

Must be something in the air, this thread necro'd yesterday was 18 years old: True Ghoul. Though that thread started 21 years ago, so in some ways is older!
