WotC WotC general D&D survey just went live.

I got setting book questions, like pick your 3 favourite settings and it asked me which settings I bought (all of them).
It's a fine distinction, but they were setting questions, not setting book questions (I wrote in Al-Qadim, for what it's worth...)

The questions about actual products had three categories - core rulebooks, adventures, and 'supplementary rulebooks'. And whenever they listed examples of 'supplementary rulebooks', campaign settings were never among them.

(And seriously, in this schema what category does Spelljammer fall under anyway?)

I took it.
I was disappointed that it asked for my top games played in the last 3 months and not my top games as I have not gamed in a while. If they had just asked for my top 5 gaves, I would have answered: Savage Worlds, Icons: Assembled, Tinyd6, Honor + Intrigue.
For both what would bring me back and why my likelihood to recommend D&D to others is 4 out of 10, I wrote: After the OGL fiasco WOTC needs to continue reestablishing good will with the community. More importantly, the designers need to produce things I like as I have been disasappointed by the current design team in terms of both the supplements and the majority of design decision regarding species and classes in the OneD&D playtest .
I did, however, mention a few minor changes and additions that I did like (e.g. renaming race, Holy Orders for clerics, the Druid's armor and weapon proficiency).

Not everyone gets all of the questions. That's been typical of their surveys for a long time.

If you don't buy setting books they aren't going to ask you which setting books you didn't buy.
I have not bought any setting books since 2nd edition. I did, however, get asked for my top three settings- Dark Sun, Ravenloft, and Homebrew (not the homebrew option about borrowing from official settings).

My longest write-in section can be summed up as "I'd like every class and subclass to have as many options as the warlock or battle master fighter, magic items to be like those in Baldur's Gate 3 (specifically mentioning the magic ring that applies Blade Ward to any target you heal as an example), and monster design to be more like 4E". I pretty much do the latter two via homebrew when DMing 5E anyway.

I also made it clear that physical maps and minis are very important to me.

Having this survey helps garner feedback from newer players that may have started since the last survey like this was used so I’m fine filling it out again.
