D&D 5E Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen... anyone play through it? Any good?

I am running it currently. I am enjoying doing so, and the players are enjoying playing in it. As others have pointed out, it can be railroad-y in spots, though it does open up in other places.

The timeline and lore doesn't all quite sync up with established lore, though not enough to bother me (and certainly, it's not like Dragonlance lore hasn't contradicted itself in the past). One's mileage may vary, but I can't be mad that parts don't fit with parts in Dalamar the Dark, for example.

To me, it very much feels very situated in Krynn and the stories told there. As for how I'd rate it, my favorite 5e adventure is still Rime of the Frostmaiden, but Shadow of the Dragon Queen is up towards the top for me.

I was a big fan of the novels back in the late 80s/early 90s. Didn't really play through the adventures though. I have a passing interesting and revisiting the setting and as a fan of 5e, I'm curious how well this book has landed with players. I understand, being both a sourcebook and campaign, it's got to be pretty high level on setting specifics, but is the adventure any good? How would you rate it against some of the other published adventures?

Thanks!
I played it and we had a blast.

I was a Chaotic Good 8-wisdom, 8-intelligence, -1 religion, max Charisma Kender Paladin who was facinated with all the new gods and worshipped every Deity she came across good, neutral and evil (initially Kiri-Jolith, Branchala and Nuitari but lots more as the game wore on), she had around 10 different holy symbols by games end. I really hammed this up.

When we were in cities she would be a street preacher, spreading the word (or her interpretation of the word) of whatever God of the day she was worshiping. People would look at her like she was crazy, then she would heal some refugees or something and they would still look at her like she was crazy while being baffled by the "miracles"

For the begining of the adventure she was constantly telling the authorities and anyone that would listen that Dragons were real and they rolled around on wheels (which you will understand if you play the adventure). Later on she would tell people there were two kinds of Dragons - some that rolled on wheels and others that flew.

When the party got a message that "Takhisis is watching you" which was supposed to be a creepy foreboding situation for basically for ruining her plans, my PC took that to mean "Takhisis is watching over you" and looking out for us, and she spent the rest of the adventure telling the dragon armies and dragons (and other PCs) that they had it all wrong. She would scream a battle cry "in the name of the Dragon Queen" as she waded into battle to slay the Dragon queen's minions and her Kender taunts often contained thematics of the Dragon Queen being disappointed and the bad guys having it all wrong.

The rest of the party lectured her often and NPC allies treated her a bit like she was touched, but she would have none of it ..... what do they know I am the one with healing spells! .... she had a really high charisma and all the Charisma skills so things usually worked out.

It was one of the most fun campaigns I have played in a while.
