"Maur! There's a spider next to you by the door!

Cearth! There is no negotiating with these spiders - they are controlled by an evil Outsider!"

So, with initiative 9, I don't think I get to act yet but, I think, I'm going to still use Force Wall to give everyone a chance to get their bearings - given there will be surprise. But, depending on what the enemies that go before me do, I will probably cast something else.

"Hold fast! We three are taking the attacks, casters, blast away! If it has spell resistance, tell me immediately!"
He looks sharply at the warning.
"Come on people, move, move, move! Better position is the key!"

OOC: blind, deaf, and stupid, but fast :D - I cannot but notice how convenient it is we got a staff that can bind incorporeal (if "shade" spider is really a shadow)

Modifiers for all (within 30'):
+1 circumstance bonus to attacks
when flanking: +6 circumstance bonus to damage (optionally, bonus to penetrate spell resistance, but you'll need to tell me)
+1 morale bonus to Will saves
after Litrix hits an enemy: +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and saves against fear effects for 1 round

Move: No
Standard: Grant FREE move action @JustinCase @Neurotic @TaranTheWanderer @Tellerian Hawke @ScottDeWar_jr

"This is a spider from The Deep! It shouldn't be here unless there is some curse or other negative energy things here! It is intelligent and malicious."
Maur clears up any confusion about the alignment of the creature.

"Maur! There's a spider next to you by the door!

Cearth! There is no negotiating with these spiders - they are controlled by an evil Outsider!"
Phar yells out his warning a moment before the spiders rush forward. The spider in the corridor moves forward to the broken down doorway and sizes up Angus on the other side. Another large spider seems to phase through the wall into the corridor behind the other, but angus can tell the walls in the corridor are more webs than stone. The webs on the corridor's western wall seem to shimmer and open like a curtain. Another large spider appears.

Trusting his companion despite his guts, Caerth nods.

”Try to get that leader quickly then!”
"Caerth! Behind us!" Aureus shouts.

A large spider comes through the large hole in the eastern wall of the old armoury. Aureus and the half-orc druid can see another spider behind it in the room beyond. Then, the wall next to Aureus collapses and another large spider appears next to her.

"They're trying to flank us!"

"This is a spider from The Deep! It shouldn't be here unless there is some curse or other negative energy things here! It is intelligent and malicious."
Maur clears up any confusion about the alignment of the creature.
Maur turns to look at the wall. He didn't notice that the stonework was in such bad shape until Phar shouted out his warning. The part of the wall that collapsed when the door was pushed down still has stone hanging from a series of strong webs. The webs shift and shimmer and when the large spider crashes through the wall towards Aureus, the rest of the stonework near Maur collapses.

A spider the size of a large dog is lurking on the other side. It looks right at Maur. Behind it, Maur can see another large spider moving through the hollowed out area behind the wall. The webs hold up the corner of the walls between the hollowed out area and the old armoury, barely. It could come crashing down on all of them at any moment.

OOC: @ScottDeWar_jr, Quinn is up next in the Surprise Round.

Scott DeWar said:
"That is one big spider, and I am betting it is hungry." Unless Quinn is stopped by a certain druid friend, he shoots an arrow at it.
Even with the webs choking the corridor, Quin manages to hit the spider as it rushes forward towards Angus.

OOC: Since Quinn can only attack once this round. I'm going to say he had his bow already ready to fire.

Among the large spiders, more smaller spiders appear in the corridor and coming out of breaks in the wall. Soon, Angus counts nine spiders in the corridor. One of them crawls along the webbed wall and onto the edge of the doorway. It tries to bite the centaur ranger, but it a weak attack.

The spider next to Maur tries to bite the dwarf, but all it does is get its spittle on the dwarf's armour.

In the old armoury, Aureus looks at Caerth as she draws her magical short sword. "I hope you've got a plan."

"Aureus! Beside you!" Qi warns.

"Wh-... oh crap..."

Aureus was so focused on the other spider, she didn't realize how close the one that came through the wall was to her. It tries to bite her, but she manages to avoid its fangs.

"That was close."

"Aureas and Cearth, move out of the building, if you can."

Hoping I can shout out an instruction before it's my turn.

"We join the others," Caerth replies to Aureus, knowing there is a better chance when they all stay together to deal with this threat.

He motions for the hakuutan to move before him, drawing his trusted bow and shooting an arrow at the spider that came upon his ally.

OOC: Shoot at the closest spider, making way for Aureus to move first. (The map shows the spider as out of melee range; if that's inaccurate, use the attack roll for a melee attack with the staff instead (+14/+8). I'll roll the appropriate staff damage dice (d6's) in addition to the bow's.)

Shooting an arrow: 1D20+12 = [18]+12 = 30 (or 32 with staff)
for 1D8+5 = [4]+5 = 9 damage

Additional attack roll for staff if appropriate: 1D20+8 = [8] + 8 = 16
In that case, damage dice: 2D6 = [6, 2] = 8 (so 1d6+6/1d6+5 means 6+6=12 and 2+5=7)

Phar really wanted to cut off one of the exits with a wall of force to prevent the spiders from surrounding them but every avenue to do so was blocked.

Instead, Phar stepped 5 feet over to see past the huge stone door and peered into the webbing hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious being that lurked within, ready to cast a spell.

"Cearth, and Aureus, please hold those arachnids at the threshold of the door and I will endeavor to block that exit."

1. If I need some kind of perception check to get a feeling where the Nightshade is located, I'll roll a d20.
Spot is +12,
Search is +15(I think),
Listen: +8
perception: 1D20 = [20] = 20
critical success but only if a dice roll was required, obviously

2. If I can sense the location of the Nightshade, I'm going to cast glitterdust trying to hit as many creatures as possible but, mainly, the nightshade. No spell resistance. Will(DC21) save to resist blindness but if they have tremorsense, then you can ignore that. In any event, anything caught in a 10 foot radius burst is all shiny and has -40 to hide checks and can't go invisible.

3. If I can actually see and TARGET the Nightshade, I will, instead, cast DISMISSAL. Will saveDC: 36 minus the creature's HD.
Overcome spell resistance: 1D20+15 = [15]+15 = 30

4. If I see nothing at all, I will haste everyone
