Ahsoka - SPOILERS

Part of this too is cultural and societal changes.

For example, in the original star wars, "balance in the force" was not "light and dark in harmony", it was "only light, no dark". The dark side was a corruption of the force, not an equal partner.

However, as western culture became exposed to a lot of eastern philosophies, the "yin yang" concept of light and dark acting in equal harmony became popular. So in the prequels when the prophecy of the "one who would bring balance to the force" came up, a lot of people legitimately thought this meant "a balance of light and dark". But that's NOT what the jedi order meant, they thought it would end the dark side.
Yeah I know, I don’t think the series should change its basic ethos because Americans know about dualistic cosmic balance now, is the thing.

The force gas never really been explained that will. Lucas changed his mind and gad that Whills idea which Filoni recycled.

Lucas has 4 billion reasons not to care either

a competent regional manager. He’s polite to contractors! His troops trust him! He must be stopped! His projects come in on-time and under-budget, and he addresses his invoices in a timely fashion. He’s a f***ing monster.
As much as this made me giggle, there's a LOT of truth in this. Thrawn's a completely different sort of baddie than we've ever really seen in Star Wars before - even back in the original novels, it was pointed out many times that Thrawn's so dangerous because he's actually competent.

It is rather refreshing. Actually, thinking about Ahsoka, all the bad guys are refreshing. They're smart, competent, and honestly pretty sympathetic. It's not like Baylon is Force choking random people for the hell of it. And the whole "I've lost all my faith, so, now I'm going to do whatever it takes to make sure it never happens again" thing is easy to understand.

Baylan is stealing the show. Shin also very compelling along with the Nightsister.

Waited 29 years to see live action Nightsister, 30 for Thrawn.

Prequels gad their issues the world building was good though. Think Ahsokas beating it.

Worst episode so far (number 3) was still decent.

Since it was emphasised in the episode, I will add "gives the opinions of colleagues due consideration". Something real life villains repeatedly fail to learn.
