Somewhere in my parents loft are a handful of BECMI adventures (R7 Rahasia, X2 Castle Amber, and maybe a couple of others), and possibly the Expert and Companion rules.

In theory, there are also a load of Shadowrun 1st and 2nd Ed books, and a load of WEG Star Wars books, all of which technically belong to my brother, but he seems to have long since lost interest.

I'd very much like to lay my hands on those, but it's such a cluttered mess it's unlikely ever to happen.

I let someone borrow my 3e Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide and never got it back. It took years of patient waiting to get a copy at a decent price.

What I miss more than books, though, is that somewhere in one move or another I lost the folder containing most of my AD&D 1e characters' sheets. There's a slim chance it's buried in a box somewhere, but to date I've not found it.

I have a strict "don't even ask policy because no one is borrowing any of my books ever again". I lent someone a copy of the Ravenloft novel "Vampires of the Mist". When I asked him for it back, he had lent it to someone else...I never saw it again. As strange as it sounds, I almost think that's worse than just having stolen it.

I can't even remember its name!

Way, way back in the day, in the late 80s/early 90s, there was a guy who advertised that he wanted to playtest his RPG. I sent him a letter, and some months later received a thick three-ring binder with his RPG, painstakingly mimeographed and punched and put in it. I was a mess -- it was very fiddly, even for me back then -- I was playing Champions and RoleMaster, and AD&D with all sorts of houserules, so fiddlyness shouldn't have been a stopper! At some point, I think I must have gotten rid of it because it was taking up space, but now that I'm older I'm curious about these sorts of things and wish I could give it another read-through and deep-dive.
