If you agree with the poster's point of view. If not, the debate rages on.
Any particular reason you felt the need to be cute here? Have I made similar teasing comments about your preferences?

It's cute you think it's just a belief. How is this different from the belief that our own reality is nothing more than a simulation?![]()
Well it's cute compared to this: The Backrooms - Wikipedia Welcome to a more modern rendition of the Infinite Abyss. It's cute you think it's just a belief.![]()
To be fair, players have a strong incentive in combat not to firewall their knowledge. Why make that harder for them than is necessary?
It is funny where our personal lines are. i am not particularly interested in immersion, and I like the G part of RPGs as much or more than the the RP part, but this idea where I, as GM, give the PCs a full statblock to the PCs so they can make informed tactical decisions gets a big fat "No Way" from me. I can't even really say why, other than the fact that it makes no sense in the fiction and it makes the fight less fun by eliminating the discovery phase of the battle.
I forget who, but someone upthread literally wanted the whole statblock in order to have immersion and agency.I don't think anyone has suggested giving them the full statblock. At least I haven't. I said I tell the AC once they actually attack the NPC, which presumably is the situation where they would see the enemy to defend themselves, and thus could asses how good they're at it. And the main reason is that it is just easier and faster this way.
I don't get it. But that's ok.
Some will, but others won't, and you'll always have both types.Because I expect people to be playing for the health of the game as a whole, not just their personal self-interest?
