Some brands use all, some use some. I'm at work now I didn't want to write a book or overstep my place as I am not Myrdin. But if you google those terms you can find more info on each one.

A couple of point i think he made well…

  • OGL proposal quickly walked back. (Very quickly)
  • An unusually open license for an IP (which IMHO definitely gets taken for granted)
  • A lot of social media engagement that a lot of companies don’t pay attention to but you have to take a broad view and not only listen to the vocal minority.
  • Layoffs mainly in toys and where they were in gaming it was mainly due to a change in priorities.
  • He’s a gamer and has come through WotC pretty good thing for the CEO of the company that owns D&D
  • Hasbro’s rating was upgraded a couple of months after the downgrade (interesting that we didn’t see a slew of streams and articles about that?)

All seems pretty reasonable and positive to me.

I really don't know what people want or how hardcore the interview was supposed to be. They considered doing something people didn't want and backed off quickly for a corporation. As a corporation they occasionally have layoffs. It happens at virtually all large companies.

What I didn't hear was that they don't care about older players. He acknowledged that they can't please everyone and that they don't pay attention to just people posting online and making podcasts.
