Have you tried teaching new stuff to your grandpa? It can be a bit tedious. Old people are not really into new stuff, generally speaking. GenX are in their mid 40s and 50s. 5e has enough nostalgia vibes from 2ed, so they are kind of covered on that aspect.
Milenials and oldest gen Z are in their prime earning and spending years, or close enough. No matter the generation, people in late 20 and 30s are prime customer demographics. Out of party years, disposable income to spend on leisure activities, parents so they control the wallet when it comes to products aimed at kids.
