D&D General Kingdom Based on Late1980s/Early 90s WWF.

Legend
Might regret this but I'm doing a Nordic based game with giants, Ragnarok etc. One of the PCs is half jokingly based his Goliath around Hulk Hogan.

Anyway as a joke I mentioned one of tge Goluath Realms is ruled by the Macho King Randal Savage III. Succession is via the annual King of the Ring tournament.

Anyway I'm thinking of various NPCs.

Based on.

Andre the Giant. Literal giant turns up occasionally to compete.

Undertaker. Taker is an avatar of death. Tombstone piledriver is available for PCs below 50% hit points.

Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. Literal Dragon or Dragonborn.

Macho King. A Goliath.

Hulk Hogan. Literal Hulk probably another Goliath. Lusting after the Kings wife (may or may not be true).

Brutus the Barber. Not a haircut decapitation.

Jake the Snake. Yuan Ti with pet snake.

Basic idea Anyway. The heels are outright villains can be killed outside the ring.

Thoughts? I may regret this just an idea atm.

The roster so far. PCs will be level 7 (currently 6)

Million GP Man Dwarf

Ultimate Warrior. Half Orc Barbarian/Berserker.

Rowdy Roddy Piper. Scald
Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Hill giant with a tree.

Midnight Rockers. High dex Stone Giants

Viktor Kreen McMantis (VKM) Kreen promoter, pervert, sex pest.

It depends what you want to get out of it. If you want a goofball game, then fine.

Mind you, shtick is hard to keep interesting in the long run. Running gags can get tired really quickly. So, be ready for that.

Its a short term thing. A few sessions/ 1 level.

And the "heels" can be outright villains based on the characters.

It would be a travesty if you didn't include the bushwhackers. I'd imagine them in DnD as dumb brutish ogres (based on what I can recall, of their wrestling personas).

You mean the sheep herders?

The name doesn't translate well to a D&D monster.

Midnight Rockers - a pair of high-dex Stone Giants
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan - Hill Giant with a tree-club
Rick Flair - Elf Bard (College of Valor? Wrestler)
Ultimate Warrior - Half-Orc Fighter/Barbarian
Million GP Man - a tall Dwarf who uses bribes to cripple or disable opponents before his fight

And somehow you gotta work in the Hart Foundation.
