newbies guide for Fallout 4

Aha. I don't. I'll have to get that next time I level up. What do I do then? Is there a way to unmask them?

I'm still annoyed that I can't do anything (yet) with the info I learned snooping around in the Institute (like which NPCs are synths and which are Institute informants). Like, some of that is stuff that Piper would love to know, but I don't ever get the option to tell her.
You'll never be able to do anything with that info and until now despite all of my play throughs on both pc and xbox i had never heard of the Suspected Synth quest. So based on my playing having synths hidden in your settlement other than maybe triggering that quest does nothing.

The only sure way to know who was a synth is if when they are dead they have the synth component on them and it only appears on dead bodies, so you can't try to pick pocket them to see if they have it.

Yeah, interestingly, I just responded to an "Abernathy Farm is under attack!" alert, and the attackers were Gen 1 synths. They killed one settler, and when I went to loot her body, she had a synth component on her! They accidentally killed their own spy! LOL.

Or she wasn't a spy, she was a runaway who'd been helped to get there by the Railroad, and that was the killsquad sent to retrieve or eliminate her.

It's cool how the settlers will use the gym equipment (I just wish there was more than just the weights bench and the pommel horse), but it's a shame they don't play pool.

I've got a pool table in Vault 88 and at Jamaica Plain, so I've been trying to collect two full sets of balls. I get a bunch of duplicates, but I'm still missing a bunch. I even found a triangular rack on a pool table in the Parkview Apartments. I guess some are rarer than others?

The balls are rng and they don't fit in the rack, also the player can't play pool.

I was in Shamrock Taphouse the other day, in eastern Boston, I seem to recall there were a lot of balls in there.

What until you need to find bowling balls.

Ooh! Good to know. I’ve been past there a few times but haven’t gone in yet.

I have a few bowling balls. One is a championship ball. I’ve got that on display along with a championship pin. I don’t remember where I got them. Were they part of the Jamaica Plain treasure?
