Gonna be really, really hard picking between Glamour and Dance.

And maybe more than any other class, it feels like a party of 4 Bards with each of the subclasses would be an extremely capable group. Nice mix of magic and matial early, expertise covers a lot of skill check ground, and once they hit level 10 they have access to a massive range of spells to deal with higher level threats.

Edit: Once question I have. Do Bards now prepare spells after a long rest (like Clerics, Druids and Wizards), or can they just swap out 1 (or more) when they level up? Wasn't clear in the video.

That was from when they were experimenting with unified spell lists and the bard chose one (Arcane, Divine, or Primal) to start with.

They've since reverted that, so Bard has a distinct class spell list again now, which would presumably include anything they want kept "bard exclusive" regardless of level. They just ALSO get the full cleric, druid, and wizard lists to choose from once they hit level 10.
So

Wizard List = Arcane List
Cleric List = Divine List
Druid List = Primal List
Bard List = Billboard List?

I'm not really sure about that, at least in damage dealing part. I feel valor bard can't fulfill the DPR output the whole team need and their Combat Inspiration become almost only applicable on themselve and dance bard.

Very unclear. The way he talked about Magical Secrets in the main Bard section of the vid, it seems like they now prepare spells daily. But the way he discussed Magical Discovery in the Lore Bard section, it seems like they are still spells known casters a la 2014.

Had the same thought, but thought that the Magical Discovery feature might be a specific restriction, as otherwise it would be the same as Magical Secrets at 10 and they would gain no benefit from it. IE. Lore Bards get to dip into the expanded spell list early, but only for 1 spell and that spell isn't as easily swapped out. On the other hand, if Bards prepare daily that makes the Lore Bard's MD redundant after 10, unless that spell doesn't count against their general spells prepared number.

Unclear from the video, but the way Crawford said it actually suggests that once they hit level 10, they get access to Druid, Cleric, AND Wizard spells from then on.

It also now seems that bards will prepare spells on long rest, a la clerics, druids, and paladins (and now, rangers)?
Bards no longer have access to paladin, rangers, warlock, and ranger spells list.

NO SWIFT QUIVER FOR YOU!
