Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

The Space: 1999 Roleplaying Game will allow you to join the crew of Moonbase Alpha! Created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (Thunderbirds, Joe 90, and so much more) in 1975, the British show told the story of a moonbase after a nuclear explosion throws the moon into deep space. The game is written by Andrew Peregrine (Dune) and Modiphius Entertainment, and is powered by Modiphius' 2d20 system.

I watched this with my dad when I was little so I’m somewhat intrigued

I had the toy ship when I was little but have no memory of figures that came with it

I barely remember the show (the Dragon's Domain episode scared the crap out of little me), but thought the ships were cool and realistic for the time period (in my boyhood judgement.) I didn't even know the same production house also did Thunderbirds until today.

Gives me hope that Airwolf the RPG or Iron Eagles the RPG might someday come out.

I anxiously await a Simon & Simon RPG, as well.

I could easily see a Mothership or Alien RPG adventure that's the Black Hole with the serial numbers filed off. Despite it being a Disney movie, it's got a whole lot of Alien and cosmic horror in it.

I had toys of the robots and I realized I still had some of the trading cards last time I moved. But I've blacked out most of the film other than the crazy final scene.

Next time I'm subscribed to Disney+, it's probably time to watch it again.

Will they use the theme some from the first season, "Best of Friends," or go with the instrumental theme they started using in the second season. I really liked Simon & Simon and caught most of the series in rerun during the early 1990s.
