D&D General Totally Tubular 80s themed source book and adventures for 5E on KS.

Hey dude or dudette, I just noticed this gnarly new kickstarter sourcebook that adds an 80s theme to D&D.

No not 80s like instant death traps and D4 HP but crane kicks, neon dragons, and adventures in run down summer camps. It's totally boss!

Should you back it? Well no duh! It's been well established that the 80s was the best decade before bogus wasteoids totally ruined everything. Why continue wigging out when you can play your favorite game in the best era? Air up your Jordans, slap on your jelly bracelets and leg warmers and motor over to a most excellent set of books and adventures!

"Gag me with a spoon." Right? Like, "DarkCrisis are you a total shill for some grody company?" Not even, take a chill pill, I just love D&D and I love (and lived) the 80s and thought this was awesome and wanted to share with my excellent amigos.

Honestly, it looks pretty cute, but this is another of those projects with a long gestation period, longer than I have the patience for. I think most of the adventures look fun as does a lot of the other content.

Generations definitions are weird. I'm an X because I was born in 65 but I feel like a Boomer because from 5 to 15 it was the 70s. Then again, 1980 to 1989 was awesome. I'm transgenerational.

Lost Boys would be my pick for a 5e 80s mission.

One thing about Santa Carla I never could stomach.

Hasbro has to hurry to publish its own animated sitcom about D&D-species teenages in a 80's style high-school. (That elf girl was only 49y but technically she isn't underage because she is the reincarnation of a granny who was hit by "Sweet Tooth", the ice-cream truck driven by the crazy Needles Kane (Twistel Metal). The scriptwritter didn't make a lot of esffort to be more original!). If it is isn't bye them, then it will be by Netflix or other company.

The idea sounds very cool, but D&D 5 Ed wasn't designed for a total power balance in no-fantasy genres. Not only about the firearms but driving heavy vehicles to hi "slow" enemies.

Warning: If your PCs drive a truck to hit zombies, slasheers, transgenic dinosaur clones or other monsters, these may be teletransported to an isekai where they could cause a lot of troubles.

But there is other point we could explore, the reverse isekai, where people and creatures from a fantasy world traveled toward a civilitation for the begining of digital age.
