Who do I have to kill to get the next episode right now !?

But seriously: I am going to take the first, obvious stab: Rio is not Mephisto. Rio is the daughter of Mephisto, or something in that vein. I do not know much about the comics, but I do know that "Agent Vidal" is basically the same as "Videl" which is not only an anagram for Devil but also the name of Gohan's wife in Dragon Ball. And she is the daughter of Mr. Satan.

Rio attacking Agatha with a dagger of all things does not really scream "Mephisto himself" to me. But her being his daughter would go a ways to explaining how her magic could kill Agatha and how she can appear on the Witches' Road later without necessarily having the help of a coven.

Rio meaning river, and Rio apparently being an earth witch, and one of the rivers of the Underworld being named Lethe, and Agatha having forgotten who she was... does all seem to fit together in a way. It is all very cthonic.

Blackheart is a Marvel villain that is usually portrayed as male, or at least male-ish, but is a spawn of Mephisto, and not Mephisto himself, so... yeah. She's Blackheart.

... but also the name of Gohan's wife in Dragon Ball.

Yeah, but Dragon Ball is not a Marvel property, so that's not exactly reliable support.

"I have a heart. It is black." So, yeah, that fits.

I have only seen the first episode, as I'm not much of a binge watcher.

Nicholas Scratch - the name of the bunny, and seen on trophies/plaques in the first episode, is Agatha's son in comics canon. He is a powerful warlock in his own right, and betrayed her and sent his own children - called the Salem Seven - after her.

In the comics, the Salem Seven aren't full sorcerers/witches, but have some magically sourced powers, mostly of animalistic or elemental themes:
Brutacus, Gazelle. Hydron, Reptilla, Thornn, Vakume, Vertigo

Scratch sometimes works for Mephisto, sometimes for Dormammu.[/color]
