OK so now we know that Aubrey Plaza is Death. But we still don't know why she just kind of disappeared after the third trial. Does being Death give her the ability to leave the road whenever she wants?

Probably? I think the big question for me is still what is meant by "the original Green Witch" . Like, if she is basically a cosmic entity then what is she doing slumming it as a mortal category at all? Though I am also a bit curious about whether there is some connection to Loki in that colour reference. Loki's magic is green, and in mythology (as opposed to comics and the MCU) Hel, the goddess of death, is his daughter.

Anyway - I guess skull faced Rio Vidal, the "River Devil" coming from Sharon "Charon" really was a whole thing all along itself.

Wow. Patti LuPone.

I need to rewatch, but I loved how it managed to make her time jumps coherent
Yeah, that was impressive, and it makes me want to rewatch the series from the start to see if all that stuff was in those preceding episodes. I remember some but not all.

Also, I guess I was wrong about Lilia not being aware of what she was doing when she made the sigil. And I guess she doesn’t have oracular trances. She’s just jumping around in time.

My take on that was she's the ultimate recycler, and such both Death and the master witch of the green world.

(I don't think that color is connected with Loki's power, though the fact the end of that series reimagined Yggdrasil as the mesh of timelines slightly confuses the issue...)

Could be as a counterpart to the Scarlet Witch. Wandavision implied that Wanda was always the Scarlet Witch, or at least had the potential to be, with the Scarlet Witch being some sort of metaphysical archetype. The Mind Stone didn't make her the Scarlet Witch, it "only" supercharged her abilities (which is why she defeated the Illuminati on Earth-838 without breaking a sweat – they were expecting "their" Wanda with extra Darkhold juice, and didn't expect the effects of the Mind Stone).
