D&D (2024) Why aren't you using 5e 2024?

Lots of rants in threads about the new books, so let's make a safe place for salty goblins to really let go, and vent about why this is the end of the civilized world.

Point of order: Goblins aren't salty if you wash them before cooking them.

Because I've shifted primarily to playing non-D&D games for the time being (Vampire, Werewolf) and when I return to fantasy gaming next year, I'll be using Six-Hack (my own game), Swords & Wizardry, and the new HarnMaster: Roleplaying in Kethira.

Because I don’t enjoy the game, and I’m no longer the target market. Which is fine. I’ve been very happy playing OSE, Beyond the Wall, and lots of non- DnD games.

It’s more complicated, but that about sums it up.
