I posted this elsenet a few weeks ago:
  • Broken World - an early PbtA post-apoc game based on Dungeon World. I don’t expect to ever see
  • $1 pay what you want rpg from jim pinto - he still posts updates.
  • Veil Inheritance. At least I got Veil and Veil Cascade. I don’t expect to see. I just hope Fraser’s doing ok.
  • Yonder - see above
  • Space Seeds from an early ZineQuest. Don’t expect ever
  • Stonetop - with the shipping of Urban Shadows 2e, this is now taking top spot of oldest game I actually expect to receive and still want
  • For Small Creatures Such as we: solo-drawing game by the same creator as Delve with Becky Chambers style vibes. Still getting updates, creator has a plan for release.
  • Unquiet Dark - Brindlewood Bay supplement. Not really interested in this any more
  • Sins of the Adventurers - honestly a major impulse buy that I definitely don’t expect to deliver
  • Dolmenwood - looking forward to this
  • Infinity of Ships - late but not too late and got an update within the past 30 days
  • Cairn 2e - expecting early in the new year
  • Gardens of Ynn - expecting soon they just charged me shipping
  • Perilous Void - Jason Lutes’s giving frequent updates. Excited for it
Backerkit
  • Lovecraftesque 2nd Ed - Joshua has been quite communicative. Had a production glitch that seems to have worked out. Looking forward to this one too.
  • Caverns of Thracia Legendary Adventure - expecting soon
IndieGoGo - yes I have some stuff still outstanding on that platform. Hopefully not for much longer but…
  • Ryne RPG - I barely remember backing this in 2022, but got an update in October 2024 that seems pretty positive. I guess when it comes I’ll be… lukewarm to mildly glad?

FWIW, I'm a Kickstarter superbacker (or at least was for a while), and have backed 118 projects on KS (mostly ttrpgs or related), 5 projects on Backerkit, 3 ttrpgs on indiegogo, and 1 project on gamefound, which did ship. So basically 5 projects that I don't think will ever ship out of roughly 124 total? That doesn't seem so bad.

Different question is - how many projects that I end up getting 3 or 12 or 25 or more months later that I still was excited about? Not so many friends, not so many.
I don't have a metric for that; but it's definitely a reason I reduced my spend in 2024 on crowdfunds - that and lack of job. I have a job now, but I don't see myself going whole hog again like I did in past years.

I signed up for a legacy narrative horror viking themed miniature featured boardgame called "Hel". The whole company spectacularly imploded. Major disappointment as the minis looked neat but looking back I probably would never have played it.

I've only two overdue KS elements...
the Kanji version of a map of historical Japan optimized for FRPGing... (The english versions in PDF arrived in a timely manner.)
I forgot to mention funding dates: 2016 for this one....

The Traveller 5 kickstarter is still yet to deliver certain stretch goals, but those don't actually affect me... I backed at the moral support level.
and 2014 for this one.

I'm one of the people who back the grift known as Swordsfall.
There were many many months when they'd launch a new sales project to fund the previously funded project to fund the previous project because they were just a bit short -- it was very much a con.

Supposedly there was a partial fulfillment, but I never got that. And since I had the audacity to complain about a many years late project I expect I've been blocked on most communication methods

That guy took in so many of my friends. And, when he finally delivered the PDF (to some but not all backers), the ZIP file allegedly contained a Trojan virus. Good God. Also, amidst all of the issues with his Kickstarter, he was outed as a sex pest by a poster on Twitter and didn't respond to the accusations for the better part of a year (which was not a good look). There were just LOTS of problems here.

Timothy Kleinert's second edition of The Mountain Witch. Estimated delivery of 2018, last update in January 2019. The original delays were caused by a major project at Kleinert's day job, but there's been radio silence since the January 2019 update, despite it promising monthly updates.
Surprisingly, there was an update just this morning. The short version is that Kleinert was diagnosed with cancer, which (naturally and understandably) took his focus away from this. He's provided a PDF of the revisions to backers using the format and layout of the original game.

Sad emoji for cancer. Thumbs up emoji for Kickstarter fulfillment.

Coming up to ten years now for Legacy, Kevin Rolfe's adventure collection for Squadron UK. I pulled out of this one before it closed, but a friend didn't.

The most annoying part is that it was due to include The Lancelot Caper, Marcus L. Rowland's legendary unpublished Golden Heroes adventure, which was originally intended to be put out by Games Workshop.

Rolfe went silent five years ago, after tossing a few unfinished files to his backers.
It seems that after the UK Games Expo incident he vanished from the gaming scene.

55 Kickstarters backed. Only 1 failed to deliver completely. Interface Zero 3.0 for Savage Worlds. The author has delivered the Player and GM books digitally, and I think there were PoD coupons at one point. The remaining books have not been delivered. I think we'll get the MalMart Catalog it's been work in progress for a while. I'm not sure the other stretch goals will deliver.

60,000 earned against a 21,000 dollar ask. KS was scheduled for deliver in August 2019.

I have 2 kickstarers that are way overdue...

Arkham, Lovecraft and Cthulhu for Fate Core it was supposed to be delivered in July 2014. Way back the author called it quits, but returned earlier and appaerently delivered a PDF-version. Well I am still waiting for my physical copy (backed at a physical only level)... Last update was at end of June 2024.

Iron Sky: The Roleplaying game It was supposed to have been delivered in februari 2018. Last update came just after Christmas 2024. It is a project that has been dogged by legal troubles from the start, and then lots of radio silences, here and there broken up by updates saying, more legal problems and can't do anything... I liked the original idea of the game as Iron Sky is a very funny movie. what few previews has been shown though doesn't exactly fill me with joy. Should have demanded a refund way back. Will most likely be a game that will just sit in my bookshelf without ever being played if it finally comes out.
