I would love to see a book focusing on those things for 5e. Not sure WotC is the right publisher.I'd like to see a book on merchants, trading costars, trade routes, and trade goods all in one book. I don't think this has been done before, has it, at least not in D&D that I know of?
Probably not. If they did it would most likely make more sense to do it in a specific campaign setting which the obvious choice would most likely be the Forgotten Realms. I know that there have been snippets in various books from various publishers, but I don't ever recall seeing an entire book dedicated to the subject. I'd prefer something more generic, a toolbox on how to adapt the subject to your game.I would love to see a book focusing on those things for 5e. Not sure WotC is the right publisher.
Would Acquisitions Inc. count?I'd like to see a book on merchants, trading costars, trade routes, and trade goods all in one book. I don't think this has been done before, has it, at least not in D&D that I know of?
I never read it but isn't it geared more towards dungeon delving and treasure hunting? If yes, then I'd say it's not quite the same as merchants and guards travelling by land, air and sea over long distances to transport a significant amount of trade goodsWould Acquisitions Inc. count?

Also, that book treats commerce in D&D like a modern US corporation. Not really what I'm looking for.I never read it but isn't it geared more towards dungeon delving and treasure hunting? I bought it because I found the premise intriguing, browsed it, put it on the self and kind of forgot about it. Maybe I'll have to give it another lookBased on a few threads now, I am beginning to feel like AI might be the most misunderstood 5E book of all. i know I never bought it because I was not audience for the AP, but maybe I missed out?
Seemed quite tongue in cheek too from what little I read of itAlso, that book treats commerce in D&D like a modern US corporation. Not really what I'm looking for.
Yeah, the non-seriousness of it and the art style I think turned quite a few folks off. I have the copy Beyond gave out, but I've only browsed it but never used it because of the tone, so I can't comment on the mechanics.Seemed quite tongue in cheek too from what little I read of it
