D&D (2024) D&D Beyond: Any negative experiences?

If your going to buy digital, the DDB website is the place to buy it. If you're gonna buy physical there are far better options than DDB. The digital/physical bundle likely is a case by case descion if you find the physical book cheap enough the total price can be cheaper than the DDB bundle price.

The monster database is not clunky at all; it's fantastic and has tons of filters to refine your search. DDB's general search function is poor, but the specialized ones under "tools" are great. You can also search monsters through the encounter builder, which is a massive time saver.

I don't recall a single stealth revision of a monster, but it's probably happened somewhere. It keeps legacy versions of monsters rather than replacing them; I still use monsters from Volo's all the time, for example.
There was a kerfuffle over some of the wording with one of the Spelljammer monsters (Hadozee) that was seen by many as racist and so they changed some of the language, which upset other people. I think that there may have been a few other instances but they are rare enough that I cannot remember ever encountering the issue. More noticeable to me is the tagging of some books as "legacy" and not allowing you to buy them any more, even in the middle of 2014 5e. This included my favorite 5e book: Volo's Guide to Monsters. They didn't remove my access to it and I can still use all of the content, but this is also why I do continue to buy physical copies of my favorite books. Just in case.

Also, if you can only get the standard covers with the bundle. I "overpaid" because I much prefer the alt covers. Then again, my son works at a LFGS and bought it for me with his employee discount.
