D&D General If we were re-designing the Tiny Hut-esc 'instant shelter' spells what would we change?

one situation about Leomunds tiny hut.

we used it once to take a break with clearing a huge goblin lair.
goblins could not get in OFC, but the did pile up wood and oil on it.

then a goblin shaman came with a grin on his face and a piece of paper and written on it with bad common writing was:
Dispel magic!
Problem with this is if that’s always the solution to dealing with Tiny Hut, then it feels like something staged by the DM to undermine the PCs. It is just simply an overpowered spell as written; if it were even a fifth or sixth level spell, the effects are still pretty powerful.

it's not powerful, it requires intelligence to defeat it.
it's a safe haven vs mindless beasts.

So everyone’s walking around with dispel magic in case of adventurers with Tiny Hut?

Is there a little red box on the wall with a Dispel Magic scroll and a sign saying “Break glass in case of resting heroes?”

No, it’s the spell that needs adjustment.

it's a 3rd level spell to defeat a 3rd level spell. seems about right.

and if PCs are waiting inside, more and more opponents have time to gather around it and wait in ambush.

I have more problem with it that it removes Survival challenges for finding a shelter, but if you are running that kind of a game, it's easy to ban the spell.

It shouldn’t be a third level spell, though. You could make it a sixth level spell and that’d be more congruent with its power.

Leamond’s Tiny bedroll. This spell conjures 4 bedrolls. These bedrolls let you ignore the effects of cold and heat while sleeping.

They don’t protect you from precipitation or particulate that may be in the air.

Can you just dig under the edge of a tiny hut? It creates a dome shaped force. Is that a globe that surrounds you underground as well?

Why is it undermining the PCs to have the enemy take appropriate countermeasures? In one scenario the group was trying to avoid a group of hobgoblins while behind enemy lines. The NPCs didn't have a caster (although I did roll to see if they could find one in time), but they still proceeded to barricaded the PCs in and set up a kill zone because it would have been the logical thing for them to do. They know you're there. They know you're dangerous. Of course they're going to take every step possible to defeat you.

If the enemy has up to 8 hours to prepare from a known threat in a known location they aren't going to forget you existed. They will do something. It's not some computer game where you can take out a dozen enemies and just sit for a while without attacking until the threat meter goes away. Even with rope trick an hour long wait is not long enough to go from "Someone is invading and killing guards" to "I guess it's back to normal now, everybody take a nap" in my opinion.
