D&D General What Campaign Would Appeal the Most?

I'm running 3 games. New one starting Thursday, one kicked off last week playing campaign 1 in 3 hours.

Options.

1. 5E game. Theme Baldurs Gate 3.5 set after the game BG3 Set 6 months after camp scene in game. PCs have discovered the ebon Triad a Heretic branch if the dead 3 looking to merge them into 1 God. Shars involved. Level 7 2014/2024 hybrid. Level 7-12.

2. 2E Mere of Dead Men. Set near the Mere and Waterdeep. The PCs investigate what's going on. Starting level 10000xp (3-5 or so). Dungeon magazine 69-73. Levels 3-9. Shorter sessions 2.5 hours.

3. Legacy of Netheril. 5.5 Level 3+. Investigating remains of Shade imperium/Netheril in 1492 DR. Sandbox starting near Llorkh and the grey peaks.

If there are three options and only one is a sandbox I'm always going to pick the sandbox.

They're all sandbox to an extent. I adjust the direction after each session.

The sandbox campaign was more sandbox if that makes sense. I prepped 3 adventures and custom designed a 4th so they can do them in any order or skip them and campaign arc continues from there.

The Mere is somewhat sandbox with more suggestions where to go. BG3.5 one overall arc is roughly planned out but only to the extent they will do xyz around level 8-10 for example. Maybe final levels 11/12.

Do you actually mean to use those rulesets, or just "in the style of"? Personally, I aint interested in anything 3.5. Far too slow and rules-heavy. I like investigation, and I like lost civilisation themes, so 2 or 3 would suit me fine.

Derp not clear. BG3.5 is 5E ruleset but set a year or so after BG3.

Tweaked the OP. I blame my cat and the French. My bad.
