Pirate Borg -- any of you scurvy dogs have it?

I'm late to the parrrrrty here, but I'm thinking of checking out Pirate Borg. Mork Borg's subject and tone is a bit more than I'm interested in (I see plenty of badness in my day to day life, thanks), but Pirate Borg looks like it hits my sweet spot.

Any backers receive the book yet? How is it? Which version of the cover did you get? What do you intend to do with the book?
I have the standard core rulebook, played it and love it. Amazingly fun pirate game and I can’t wait to receive the new supplements from the latest kickstarter. Recommended!

We finished Buried in the Bahamas after our 7th session so starting The Curse of Skeleton Point tonight. Really looking forward to it - another great sandbox!

Very fun game of Pirate Borg tonight! Two PCs lost a limb carousing at the start, one took a rubbing of a map on the back of a green sea turtle, zombies climbed up the side of their ship to attack, and the party bought extra cannonballs from Helga the shipwright. Next session they’re heading into the swamp to visit the malodorous hag who may have cursed the island to see if she can cure their crewmen who were bitten by zombies. Huzzah! 🏴‍☠️

Putting maps on crazy surfaces is one of the most fun parts of being a GM running a pirate game.

Tattoo on a crewman's fat belly? Sure thing!

Etched on the inside lid of a buried treasure chest, leading to yet another treasure? Absolutely!

Scrimshawed on the skull of we-promise-he's-not-undead conquistador? For sure!

Riddles, clues, and puzzles can be so much fun.

I’ll always remember the map being tattooed on the scalp of the dopey main character in Yellowbeard. Such a weird and wonderful movie.

Drop a Sator Skull on them sometime. Definitely feels piratical to me.

Just got the latest Kickstarter update for Down Among the Dead, and man, it just reinforces to me that, while shiny things may come and go on the gaming landscape, there's a handful of RPGs that I always want to play over any other, and Pirate Borg is definitely on that list.

The update is that Trapped in the Tropics is now in alpha and being tested by Patreon supporters, the dice were prototyped without the skulls for the 20s and have to get fixed, but everything else is full steam ahead and close to being completed.

I'm hoping that the print edition of Cavern of Cursed Tears is ready soon, now that GaryCon -- where it was apparently available -- is over.

Trapped in the Tropics looks great so far. I’m going to wait for the final version before reading it properly. I’d recommend the Patreon to anyone playing Pirate Borg as you get access to a huge back catalogue of stuff.

My campaign is going from strength to strength. We spent seven sessions on Buried in the Bahamas and are five sessions into Curse of Skeleton Point. Tremendous fun!

I have to say I also find it nice that the page count for TitT got bumped to 60. While there's also a "too much" in terms of content for me, I think that's a nice size for a short campaign.
