D&D 3E/3.5 A vaguely remembered prestige class

In college I was reading some 3e material though I never played until 5e. Something that stuck in my memory was an amulet that would slowly turn the wearer into a spider though also grant certain abilities. Was this a prestige class? If so, what book was it in?

It’s the Fang of Lolth, thank you! I’ll check out the other too. Is there a prestige class you wish would become a 5e subclass? This one is perhaps a little too niche but I’ve always enjoyed the lore.

Oh man this takes me back. Umm…
I’m looking here — List of prestige classes
  • Thaumaturgist for that Enochian feel
  • Basically everything from Defenders of the Faith because I like the holy types. Especially Knights of the Chalice and Middle Circle.
  • Manual of the Planes… the names all bleed together for me. Whichever is the coolest “travel the planes for the lulz” version.
  • Fist of Hextor
  • Everything from Book of Exalted Deeds because I like the holy types :) Especially Fist of Raziel and Stalker of Kharash
  • Dragonslayer from Draconomicon because that movie… is, well, it’s pretty bad, but, yeah.
  • Knight of the Raven from Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. I made my entire party help me set this up for my PC. and it was pretty underwhelming. But… RAVEN! Ravens are cool.
  • Keeper of the Cerulean Sign from Lords of Madness. I wrote an LFR adventure about her. Well, not ABOUT her. But she was the instigating NPC.
  • Iajutsu Master from Oriental Adventures. Possibly the most shtick-y of all one-shtick PrC’s

Knight of the Raven sounds fun. It’s like having an enhanced familiar on a Cleric. I also enjoy Clerics and Paladins and have to watch myself to not only play them if the opportunity arises.

My 7 year old told me her next character would be “someone whose father taught her how to use nunchucks” and the Iajutsu Master may end up being good inspiration for such a “singular” concept.
