I think that was a bit meh, I loved the original Tron but this doesnt grab me. I think a disc fight in the real world would have been better marketing than a couple of light cycles chased by police cars (these days a car being split in half is more trope than cool stunt).
Also is Jeff Bridges in it? He'd be a bigger draw than seeing Leto ...

I was fully expecting, when we got the reaction shots to something coming through between some skyscrapers, for it to be a full-on carrier. Having it be a couple of Recognizers was a disappointment.
One very noticeable thing is that we're basically only being shown one faction in this trailer. We know that programs are colour-coded for our convenience, and the only things we see from the Digital World here are red. That suggests that whoever will be opposing them (assuming it's more than just regular humans) is a spoiler that they're holding off showing for now.
He is credited in it on IMDB, yes, unlike either of the leads from Tron Legacy.
I’ve only seen the original Tron. (Probably need to correct that.)
I don’t know what to think besides I’m definitely buying the soundtrack.
Tangent: My HS classmates and I played an approximation of that back in the early 80s.
We’d go into an unused classroom (with all of the furniture, etc. in place) with a superball and some kind of hardcover book, clipboard, or whatever, and start smacking the ball around. Those desks and cubbyhole lockers could cause some WICKED ricochets. Get hit by the ball, you were “derezzed”. Last man standing won.

Always thought it would be fun to do something similar on a racquetball or similarly enclosed indoor play court.

Er, well kind just feels like a silly excuse for Hollywood to have pointless action....and attack cops.
So the 'Programs' get out and want to rule the world? Ok, wow, what an original plot.

Gee I wonder if the Evil Red Army will have a Big Red Off Button for the hero to push and save the day.......again.

Tron Legacy has its problems, but its soundtracks rules, and it has some AMAZING scenes. Also some surprisingly moving father/son stuff. Worth watching for sure.
