I’m curious if plans are still moving ahead to release the revised 5E stuff under the CC-BY SRD as promised so long ago. Also very curious about older editions being released under a CC-BY SRD as talked about so long ago.

If they actually put out the 3.0 or 3.5 SRD into CC, I'll eat my hat.

They’re the creators of D&D. They don’t need us.

It’s not like DM’s or players put any creative input into the game. It’s just selling books, dice, digital tokens.

(If WotC puts it out, Hasbro will immediately follow it with a DMCA takedown. Same for the YouTube coverage. Sorry, corporate policy. Gotta protect the brand.)

I expect the 5.5 SRD near the end of 2025. But sometimes WotC surprises us.
