D&D General So what about the SRDs?

15 minutes late with Starbucks has nothing on me. (I'm so sorry; I was out for my birthday and didn't see this until Saturday!)
No worries, I wasn't expecting an immediate answer.

Also, happy belated birthday! :)
This is one of the times I must disappoint and tell you that I can't answer that question, HOWEVER. The answer is coming soon. So soon. Trust me.
I'm just happy the answer isn't a hard "no." I'll hang onto hope for now!

Awesome. Thanks. And happy belated birthday.

Three questions.

One. Why no mention of the OGL?

Two. What version of the Creative Commons license isn't mentioned, so what version will 5.2 be released under?

Three. 4E?
Thanks!

1. There's a more detailed answer coming alongside release next week, but (to me) CC seemed like the best route forward after the response to 5.1's inclusion. I've seen a few people ask about the OGL, though, so I'll be taking that feedback with me.
2. Also covered in next week's release, but it's CC-BY-4.0.
3. See what I said to Scribe :)

Awesome. Thanks. And happy belated birthday.

Two questions.

Two. 4E?
It does mention that they are only supporting CC moving forward:

" All future versions of the SRD will be released exclusively under Creative Commons (CC-BY-4.0) for consistency and broader compatibility."

That is the "official" answer. It is just easier to support one license to I suspect.

I am more interested in 3e than 4e (only because I don't ever expect to see a 4e SRD in CC)
