1. There's a more detailed answer coming alongside release next week, but (to me) CC seemed like the best route forward after the response to 5.1's inclusion. I've seen a few people ask about the OGL, though, so I'll be taking that feedback with me.

So 5.2 and future SRDs will not be covered by the OGL?

2. Also covered in next week's release, but it's CC-BY-4.0.

I was mistaken. CC-BY is mentioned on the page. I just didn't see it.

Yes, the article is explicit about that:

" All future versions of the SRD will be released exclusively under Creative Commons (CC-BY-4.0) for consistency and broader compatibility."

Like SRD 5.1, we'll be releasing 5.2 as a downloadable PDF instead of it living somewhere on DDB as text on a web page.
