What does it take for an RPG to die?

Are people still playing “the game” or Jugger?

Yes the CalTech one. There is a newer one from the 90s that I’ve heard is substantially different.
Yeah, as far as I know after the lawyers started making noises, the original Warlock vanished into private channels; if it exists in any form any more its probably private collections; you can fine an early 2000's revision, but as you say, I can't imagine it isn't quite different.
There is a 1978 version that is still floating around online.

The 1978 release was under the title "The Complete Warlock".

I'm aware of that. What you find under that, however, is often the later version or people talking about physical copies they own of the earlier (there's even one spot where someone shows the cover). There does not seem to be a digital copy, even a scan of the earlier to be found in any publicly accessible place.

Sorry, I thought it might help. I still see some versions online, but as I'm not aware of the copyright status I'm afraid I won't link them. It did take me a while to find.

Its possible there's some hidden away in odd corners; I didn't do one of my full, extensive, into-the-Net-with-gun-and-camera searches.
