GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Kickstarter question

...now that I have my Facebook page up and running I've gotten a few offers on the table from some Crowdfund Campaign 'experts' willing to help me for a relatively small fee. They are looking to help me with Backers Outreach or Targeted Mail Campaigns. Are these things/methods legit and commonplace?

Well, I do love Warhammer (Fantasy or 40K). Also a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, comics (particularly Marvel), Babylon 5, the Legendarium of J.R.R. Tolkien, and the worlds of D&D, among other things (although the above have been very big for me most of my life at this point).

I've grown up on all the same things amigo! So expect a lot of those either covered in the Blog articles or 'stealthily' represented in the Epic Bestiary in some capacity. ;)

Hey U_K! I was wondering, are there any little snippets of content that you can share that focus on DR 20+ gameplay/monsters/abilities?

-Arcane :)

Most of that stuff is in the chapters still being worked on including the Artifacts Chapter where you can find items like the Big Bang Bell...

Just a quick update to note I have put the Kickstarter Launch Back 6 weeks (until August 12th) for three main reasons:

1. To give the Meta Ads a bit more time to get awareness out there. As you'll note I have gained 42 new sign ups in the first 5 1/2 days (although some of those were no doubt attracted by the Epic Level Sub-Reddit) of running the Meta Ads, so it seems to be going okay (Let me know if any of my Ads popped up in your Facebook or Instagram feeds). I'm still at the testing phase of the Ads to see what works as I am completely new to all this.
2. To give me more time to finish the book because the past few weeks progress have been impacted by getting the Meta Ads sorted (very fiddly first time).
3. To give the Artist of the Sketch version a bit of time to get his illustrations finished.

You can see the EpicLevel Sub-reddit here: Reddit - The heart of the internet

I haven't posted much on it yet, but its cool that it exists.

Earth has 3000 Hit Points!

I have revised my damage scaling to be even tighter and the conclusions are an Earth-sized Planet should have approx. 3000 HP in D&D.

While that might seem a tad low, objects (with no CON score - so constructs don't count) have a Damage Threshold equal to Half their Hit Points. So to damage an Earth-sized planet you need to be dealing 1501+ with a single attack.

Damaging a Planet.

Assuming your damage is greater than 1500 but less than 3001 (see Blowing Up a Planet) with a single attack then you are going to inflict massive collateral damage upon a planet from destroying a continent (at 1800+) to rendering the entire surface uninhabitable (2400+).

Blowing up a Planet.

To blow up an object a single attack needs to exceed its maximum Hit Points.

ie. Deal 3001 (or more) damage to a planet with a single attack and it will explode.

Vaporizing a Planet

To vaporize a planet a single attack needs to deal in excess of double its Maximum Hit Points.

ie. Deal 6001 (or more) damage to a planet with a single attack and it will disappear, completely disintegrated.

Hey U_K! I was wondering, what are some entities in the 5e GOD RULES that would make for a good boss fight against a DR 15-ish party? Also, what would be the average AC/HP of a DR 15 monster?

Hope you're having a great day!

Hey Arcanist amigo! :)

I was wondering, what are some entities in the 5e GOD RULES that would make for a good boss fight against a DR 15-ish party?

Well a Solo monster for a Party works best as +3 Divine Ranks. While a 'Boss' as in a 'Leader' works best as +2 Divine Ranks backed by a few subordinates roughly equal to the PCs.

So maybe something like Dumah the Angel of Annihilation...

Also, what would be the average AC/HP of a DR 15 monster?

DR 15 is Aiwass territory. approx. AC 50, HP 65-70k.

Hope you're having a great day!

Still messing about with the Epic Spells but came up with a few new cool ones today.

Well, it looks like I now have a new servant for Sariel, the Angel of Despair in my game! (Sariel's a conversion from Touhou HRtP)

Of course, now I just have an image in my head of my party facing off against Dumah, Sariel and their armies of millions of blinded Seraphim/whatever good mook angel would work here with a maelstrom of tortured souls all around them, whirling into the form of a new Demiurge of Nothingness, as galaxies collapse all around them, and the story of reality begins anew. Of course, my players aren't the kinds of people to take fate lying down, blinded by the so-called truth, so instead of KNEELing in front of their end, they'll write their own stories into the Akasha, and carve their own legend into history...
Of course, I should share more about my setting when I have time!

Oh, here's the song I'm planning to use as well :)
