ZEITGEIST What Are People's Experiences with the Zeitgeist Prestige Classes?

Not to necro an old thread, but to totally necro an old thread for anyone who discovers this via search like I did just now - my group just finished a full 5-year playthrough of the 5e Zeitgeist adventure path, and several of us took levels in the prestige classes. We considered them as working as normal levels wrt multiclassing rules, which means they did not count toward your base class for ASI's (even if they did count toward your base caster class for slots/etc...).

I finished the campaign as a 5 rogue/14 bard/1 urban empath, and one of the guys was a 19 barb/1 monument of war - so we got all of our ASI's. This meant that I did count as 15 bard for spells known, but only had d10 inspiration dice.

However, my wife finished as an 11 ranger/7 rogue/2 mad shootist, so traded out her final ASI for the mobility shot and rocket launcher and could not have been happier.

Our Skyseer actually ended the game as a 17 cleric/3 applied astronomist, so he missed out on his final ASI as well, but hey, one time he drowned a dude in a force cage full of blood, so that's neat ;)

Polyhistor and Vekeshi Excoriant are insanely overtuned. The rest are fine and fun.
i was gonna ask how, and then i saw vekeshi has FOUR FIRST LEVEL FEATURES and one of them is just echo knight action surge on steroids.

so uh. i can see why that one is much.

EDIT: honestly level 1 excoriant is SO STRONG that i think you could rip threefold presence out of first level and replace vestige of srasama with it and the class would still be competitive with the rest. it is THAT GOOD.

Our campaign's Vakeshi mystic did not take the prestige class - they were already doing some serious coffeelock shenanigans with the build - easily the most cheatsy build of the party (with my well-timed +1 bard casting level coming in a distant second). I don't remember the final levels of the build, but it was stupidly numberchasingly munchkin. I don't know if they had room for an excoriant dip with everything else they had going on. I only remember discussing it at length several years ago, and that they eventually decided against the prestige class in favor of some other base class synergies instead.
