The Genie looks big and strong and, with the other guards nearby, plenty of people can pull up the unconscious loyalist.

He drops his dagger, Glorious, on the floor near the mouth of the trap door, "I'll come back for that in a second!"

He decides to slide back down the ladder, moving past Gattas, drawing out his wand from his holster as he moves by. With his free hand, he grabs at his holy symbol to invoke the power of his god but he has too much trouble getting it out from under his armour that no-one can even see it.

OOC: Move action: 40 feet down ladder, position just in front of Gattas, drawing out wand of CLW as he moves.
.
Action: Turn Undead.

Sadly, the dice hate me. I rolled almost as low as possible. Maybe because of all the bad things I said about them Regarding Tymbeck's rolls.

60 foot radius reaches both the vampire and the Savage Skeleton.

Turning check = 5: Max HD is level - 2,
- I can affect any undead with 6 or less HD

Total HD that gets turned: 3+10= 13HD

Maybe it will get the Savage Skeleton...blech.

Spritewing looks down and sees there is no one coming up, but there are too many people down to just drop down. He isn't really used to this kind of situation without his friend and he worries. And yet, the best way to help is to bring help, similar to how he went for Vitus.

He yells down the hole "Rockhorn, I'm going to get help! Get up by yourself, I'll be back quickly!"

Turning to the Captain
"Elite, who do I try to get from Temple district? Try to name small or smallish person, not some ogre. Someone can go with me if you think is important."

Rockhorn nods "Good luck!" he yells back
"Come on, boys and girls, the goblin is gaining on you! If someone faster takes over gate duty, I can ready to skewer someone who tries to get out of there!"

Seeing how Tim is almost there, he makes space, moving 10' back and readying to charge first enemy that shows at the door.

OOC: Spritewing only speaks in Dwarven, fly speed 120' good maneuverability
I hope the locations will be so that Tim will have move + close the door action and not double move again, if the distances are wrong he readies to close the door instead and then moves back. Can Falen fly the whole way in one round?
Sergeant Griffith thinks for a second, and then shakes his head. "I know you're fast on the wing, but you might find someone sooner here in Old City or in New City. Without a doubt, the Mother Superior of the Protector temple is the strongest cleric in the Temple District who will help without question. She's human and thought to be quite old, but not infirm. There are a lot of stories I could tell you about her." He sighs. "But now is not the time. She wears powerful celestial armour can heal almost anything, although I heard she wasn't able to help the dragori in the Gardens."

"You could go to get Ariel Swiftwillow. She's a sixam ieuna and the leader of Sky and Air's temple. As a sixam, she could fly here, so you wouldn't have to carry her. But, sixam's aren't known for their blazing speed through the air. You could probably carry her. She's not tall like most of of males of her species. Five and a half feet at most. Sixam's have slight builds and have the bone structure of birds."

He looks at Spritewing. "She will help, but she's a cleric and a wizard. The Mother Superior is a pure cleric and quite powerful, but she's weigh you down."

"What about Ivar Thorn?" Adalbert suggests. "He's a cleric, right, and in New City?"

"No one has seen him in public since the New City Disaster," the sergeant replies. "He's too much of a recluse to get involved unless all of New City is is peril. And, he's more ice wizard than cleric. I'm surprised you even knew that he had such skills, Mr. Halle. Hmm?"

"He helped my grandfather over 50 years ago," Adalbert says. "Well, that's the family legend. He cast a healing spell during a winter festival. Supposedly, he was more... friendly back then."

"Well, we can't hope for him now." He looks back to Spritewing who is either getting irritated or bored.

"I am a bard, Mr. Spritewing. I could point you in many directions, but the closest cleric with some priestly skill is our new Lord Mayor, Revel Varian, but he's not much of a combatant. No, I'd say go get Miss Swiftwillow. She can fly, at least, and won't weigh you down. Hmm, willow... yes, there is her too."

"The Willow of Old City," he continues. "She not a true cleric, more of a hedge wizard, but rumour has it she is quite the healer. She won't be able to turn those things down below, but she's renown for her adept skills. I forget her real name, but you can find her in the Park of Angels by South Gate, usually. She's human but quite short and withered in her old age. And, she's... eccentric."

He tosses aside the last of the ropes he cut from Spritewing. "It's up to you, Mr. Spritewing. Make haste!"

Vitus is forced to step in front of Akos, so the divine power can reach the undead beyond the one open door. While the skeleton cannot see Vitus' holy symbol directly, it feels the power tearing into it. It's bones shudder and it looks like it might collapse into dust in mere moments. But, instead it stands and cowers from the power tearing into it.

OOC: The skeleton will flee on its next turn.

"I understand the dilemma." pegasus is much more patient than his usual rider "Getting someone here who is not able to contain the threat will only bring more oil to the fire. But you are right, we don't have minutes. I'm off to Old City."
Thinking about flying earlier above the city
"Park you mention is the one right next to the gate? The small one?"
With that, he trots toward the gate listening for the answer on the way to the door and is on wing as soon as there is space to spread them.

OOC: Looking at the map, Tim wouldn't be able to go through the door (squeezing is difficult terrain, right?) he would need to double move. And we don't want him to get stuck squeezing. Vitus also needs two moves as do Viscardi and Maggs...that leaves Custodio and Vincenzo to close the door once Rockhorn moves.

"Move, move, move!" yells Rockhorn at those still beyond the doors.
And to those fiddling with the loyalist woman. "Start climbing! Not all of you need to be here! Go!"

OOC: @Knightfall now that I see the map, Rockhorn would move back and aside so that people can rush through (10' to the left and 5' down on the map, on safe side of the doors), he would ready charge to attack first enemy that shows itself. How high are the doors? Can vampire fly through outside of Rockhorns reach? Should I roll in advance for lance attack/damage?

Is the blue part "the park by the south gate" or green (the closest to us and biggest of all) or red (bigger than blue, but not quite "by the south gate"? If Spritewing doesn't know exactly, he asks

"Yes, the small park right next to the old Galerson Estate which sits next to the gate. She's most often found in that park as she likes to feed the pigeons that often roost on the estate's roof."

Spritewing is soon into the air and winging his way above Old City to the Park of Angels.

OOC: I'm assuming you're going to have Spritewing do a Double Move there and back. That would be roughly 4.5 rounds (so rounded up to 5 total round; not including this round). It would be 9 rounds of flight time there and back as a single Move Action. This assumes it takes at least a round for Spritewing to talk Willow into helping. It doesn't take into account finding her in the park but that won't be too difficult (assuming she's there).

Falen:
Taking the spell effects heavily, he realizes in his desire to protect others, he has spent far more time than he should have where he is.
Seeing the undead bugbear slip past him (ooc: no AoO?), he moves quickly to as far down the corridor as possible, in full retreat.
Falen flashes by the combat going on down below him. He stays near the corridor's 15-ft. ceiling to ensure the vampire cannot attack him. He is well past the undead creature before it realizes that Falen is fleeing. The Mindbender descends to flying through the single open door and then rising up around the ladder and into the gate house above.

OOC: This assumes a withdraw action while flying. Since he can fly at 60 ft, Falen can easily reach the top of the ladder in the gate house but not land there anywhere. He cannot run because that action requires he move in a straight line.

"Tuck, go!" Gattas points up the ladder. "I'll deal with Lithia. I owe her that, at least"

The former Red Raven can tell that helping the woman is not something Tuck really cares about. She's a Loyalist after all, one of Tuck's hated foes. Gattas takes up the rope and begins tying a firm knot. He takes his time. He looks at the two guards. "Go! Up the ladder you two. The Exemplars can't be worrying about your hides."

"We cannot abandon our posts!" Betella insists.

"You cannot stand against that vampire! And there are more undead coming!"

"You cannot give me orders, villain," she growls back

Gattas sighs and continues to tie up Lithia.

"Are you done yet?" The djinni princess complains from up in the guard house.

OOC: Gattas Use Rope skill is +5.
Knightfall Request: 1d20+5 Roll: [17] = 22 Reason: Gattas - DC 10 Use Rope check (success)

Moments after Spritewing leaves the guard house, Captain Walther clamly walks out of her room and towards the Sergeant Griffith and Eeladi. "We must not let any of the Loyalists or their infernal undead up into this guard house. Failure is not an option, gentlemen, dear lady. Halle, get that petrified man out of the way. Put him in my chamber and lock the door. That damn Renegade isn't get him back!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

OOC: Oop! I forgot to answer this question. Yes, Tim will have to squeeze through the one open door unless someone opens the other door first, which is a simple move action. It would be best if someone opens the other door for him.

@Tellerian Hawke:
Note that Tim should have to squeeze through the 15-foot narrow part of the corridor just beyond the doors as well, but I forgot to do that for Eeldai, so we can just handwave it. He's gone through the double doors several times already, so knows how to get through. However, if he has to fight or defend while in those squares, he will have to take any penalties for squeezing through while in combat.

Maggs moves away from the skeleton and newly-create vampire as carefully as she can while trying to not get in Tim or Viscardi's way. She draws her blade as she moves and ends up standing next to Vincenzo. He doesn't stay next to her long. He retreats down the corridor and out of the labyrinth to stand next to Vitus.

Up at the end of the corridor, another Loyalist Soldier comes down the stairs while drawing his dagger and throws it deftly through the undead priest's ring of blades. The blade sinks into the undead creature. A moment later, another Loyalist soldier appears on the stairs next to him.

You hear Kefax's voice booming down the corridor. "Siani, watch where you're steeping! Not there!"

There is a flash of magical and temporal energy that echoes down the corridor like a wave. Somewhere in the distance is disembodied laughing.

"Another has been summoned," Ting shouts mentally into Falen's mind. "This one feels different. Not and undead priest. Someone... displaced through time." Ting seems to mentally shudder. "There is something else! Something alien is coming through the portal! Horrible!" Oh, that poor soul, he will not survive alone!"

"What!? Who dares steal me off the field of battle?" A loud angry voice says in... Ticin? "The Emperor will demand you heads for this dishonour!!"

"By the Master's tentacles, what new hell is this!?" Kefax exclaims in frustration.

The Loyalist spellcaster concentrates on the undead priest and moves the Ball Lightning into the creature again. The undead priest tries to block the spell with it shield, but the electric motes swirl around and slam into it. The spell crackles and the undead thing is torn to pieces by the electricity.

"Nooooooo!"

"No one defies my Master," the Loyalist whispers.

Xix manages to blance his way across the Grease of Falen's spell and once on the other side, looks to where the Mindbender once was flying. "Blast! Where did he go!"

"Shut up and go after them, Xix! Or I'll kill you myself!"

"Yes, commander." Xix bows and continues down the corridor towards The Exemplars. He boldly steps next to the Wight Enchanter. The creature hisses at him, but keeps its focus trained on Big Tim.

OOC: The flawed Teleportation Trap is the gift that keeps on giving. 😁

In the Guard House:
Sergeant Griffith moves towards the open trap door and begins sings a powerful Bardic song that is meant to inspire the guards and the Exemplars. Only Sin Voz cannot hear his voice.

Bolstered, Mr. Halle moves towards the petrified wizard to try to secure it elsewhere in the guard house before the magic holding it aloft ends.

OOC: Sergeant Griffith: Bardic Music (inspire courage +1)

Gattas sighs and continues to tie up Lithia.
"Don't be ridiculous, we're retreating, not like we all will stand here. Either ready crossbow, holy water or whatever you have, or climb up and get ready!" Akos yells at the soldiers "Just because he's not one of your, doesn't mean his advice is not good. And he's no villain! Don't assume!"
