Having the new tomes would be great but I already have the individual booklets of both sets. I hope he gets a Canadian distribution hub because I'm not paying extra import duties.
Ditto that. Recently I phoned a number of LGSs in my Canadian city and they all said there's zero chance of bringing in Necrotic Gnome books due to no distributor. I just started an OSE campaign IRL around a table without a players tome. None of my players have tablets. Not that the rules have been complex enough to need a book much, but as DM I'm missing being able to have players work independently with the tome as they build PCs post zero session.

On one hand, I shook my head wondering if this whole thing would my copies of the Player/Advanced sets pointless. And then I realized, well, this may actually make things simpler to roll up characters at the table since players can pass the appropriate books around to each other while I go "Hey Bob, since your playing a Ranger, I'm gonna let ya know you can add Giant Slayer to your features as the class was recently updated. And Suzy, since your an Elf then the update gives that class a D8 hit die instead of a D6 hit die."

And so on and so on.

Sword and Board in Toronto does stock OSE (and other small-press games that nobody else seems to). Staff there have told me they have to order directly from Exalted Funeral, so restocks are intermittent and prices feel a tad high. Still, it's an option!
