Zork 1-3 going open source

Funny, this is a very D&D thing (theme) to me, but I feel like it's missing from a lot of the "what is OSR" discussions I see.

By the way, I think Zork was free-to-play in Call of Duty: Black Ops. So it's not too dusty.

Some groups in the OSR scene seem to want games to be “serious business!!!”, which does not seem to have been the most prevalent attitude back in the day, at least as far as we can tell now.

Unfortunately it was true in my D&D group back-in-the-day. They were and still are the D&D is serious business types and they consider any gonzo elements (aka the fun stuff) to be dumb. Anything outside the boringly ordinary is suspect. Thankfully that seems to be the minority opinion in the OSR/NSR.
