Well, written into the show in that she was still present but only seen at remote sites. In this context I meant not actually replaced, just sidelined from the team for a bit and left as a cast member. They used the switch to the new season to hide it via her "reassignment to Area 51."

Oh sure, my point was that an actress' pregnancy doesn't automatically mean that has to get included in the plot. In SGU's case, I respect the actress got pregnant, but the plot was so similar to the 200th episode satire that I just couldn't help but laugh when this episode came out.

There was no way to hide it on a series like SGU.
