(OOC) DND 3.5 Enter Planescape

What's the link for roll20?

(Mainly I'm not familiar with roll20, but I'll learn fast)
I was just using it for my own purposes (because it lets you do AoEs and it has a measuring tool.) I can give you guys the link to invite you, if you want. I'll DM it to whoever wants it. I'll give you permissions on your token and then you can use it to figure out your character movement and spells.

But, obviously, I was going to rely on the DM to lay down most of that info. Maybe they don't even want to be that precise? IDK.

In any case, This is how I currently have everyone placed...not sure if it's right, though.

Hey @OneCrappy DM,

Just to make sure I understand. Bimble is entangled by the nails bur not Rao. So does that mean he is pinned to the wall, and Rao is free to walk? I'm just not sure I understand the nature of the entanglement. Can Bimble still cast?
Also, are there plants on the ground for the use of the entangle spell?
Thanks and cheers,

SG

Condition Summary:
The character is ensnared. Being entangled impedes movement, but does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force. An entangled creature moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a -2 penalty on all attack rolls and a -4 penalty to Dexterity. An entangled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a Concentration check (DC 15 + the spell’s level) or lose the spell.

You are anchored to the wall, to escape next round you get another reflex save.

So, does this mean that all the walls in the building have become these hand-grasping things? And what does that mean for everyone else in the soup kitchen? And is the door closed? And is the door affected by the spell?

It looks like it’s just area around the door. Four, 5-foot squares of wall space. Anyone adjacent to the wall in that area. The doors and windows are unaffected. But the wall above and around the door would still hamper you trying to move through. There are other details that your character probably wouldn’t know without a spell craft check but I’ll use a free action to communicate.

What I’m not sure is when she cast the spell. Is Mr. Black stuck inside or outside the building? Did she ready an action for Mr. Black if he retreated? In which case I’m stuck outside Or if he moved in? Or to close the door?

I’m not sure what part of my action was interrupted. If I’m inside the room, the door is closed. If I’m outside and unable to move, I’d still want to use my action to do something because I obviously wont close the door.

You are stuck outside, the prepared Action was for your movement. She used a standard action to cast spell on her turn and a reaction to set it off when people moved into an ideal choke point. Door is open you and Bimble are entangled you to the outside wall Bimble to the wall around the door and the third square is the back door that Luke went through. Your movement was interrupted if you wish to cast a spell you need to make a concentration check. You basically didn't move because as you started to use a move action you set of her reaction.
