Do owlbears have teeth?

I wouldn't trust the pictures. Artistic depictions of exotic animals are often inaccurate.

I'm pretty sure none of those artist who drew those pictures have ever seen an owlbear.

OP refers to Tomia too - which is hardened cartilage and can be separated from a bird (or owlbear)'s beak. Its not easy but it can be done by a skilled taxidermist. What it would be used for I have no idea - fried duck beak is eaten in parts of Thailand

Those are uncannily accurate illustrations of the now-extinct trumpeter boar.

I had thought, no, thinking back to the dozen or so pictures of owlbears I remember seeing over the years and editions I do not remember any of them having what look like teeth, they have beaks for the owl part.

Then looking at the actual D&D owlbear pictures I have shows lots and lots of them with teeth like stuff if you look closely.

To find actual toothless owlbear art I go a little farther afield like with with the Altas Animalia which has a bunch

Human to castle ratios might be a little suspect as well.
