As reported today, WotC has announced three 'seasons' for 2026's Dungeons & Dragons releases. These are the seasons of Horror, Magic, and Champions, respectively.

Summer's Season of Horror is focused on a Ravenloft sourcebook and accessories. Autumn's Season of Magic is a sourcebook called Arcana Unleashed, and an accompanying adventure.

And in Winter 2026 there is a mysterious "Season of Champions"--but we don't yet know what that is.

The two most popular guesses are the long-predicted Dark Sun content, or a martial-themed sourcebook to follow Arcana Unleashed.

Feels too early but who knows, how does the Season of Champions tagline fit into this?
But the main thing is, the way Ayoub and Gygax were talking about the Greyhawk project and future product announcements at GenCon. Could be Greyhawk is next year, and they want to build buzz...but right now I think it is the Winter product.

Maybe Lord Soth is going to take over Greyhawk! 😮
Seriously, though, after listening to the first third of the panel, it sounds like the Greyhawk project and what is being announced for Q4 were two separate thighs, so Dark Sun or Dragonlance seem more likely right now.

Given Weiss hints aboht GenCon elsewhere, I think the odds of something Dragonlance in the next year at some point are extremely high, as are Dark Sun with the UA.

The ONLY reason I still don't think its Greyhawk OR Dragonlance is they explicitly said they were holding back on announcing the Q4 product until later so as to let them build hype for it and to give the rest of the 2026 books room to breathe and build hype. If they said that and the immediately announced Melf's, then they keep secrets worse than a 5 year old at a surprise party. What did they make it, two weeks?

Yeah, that's why I think it is not Greyhawk. Dragonlance and Dark Sun do seem to be circling the next year and a half, though.
